Get 2 points for:
Sending a private message
Get 1 Points for:
adding a new friend
Get 1 Point for:
Showing up everyday

Like yahoo answers:
get 2 points for answering a topic
get 6! points for starting a topic (no losing points participation here )

next to anyone's post there's a thank you button.
if you like what they said you can click the little addition sign and give them 5 points, it's like picking best answer. pick wisely, you only get 1 per topic

I dont think its a good idea to get points for adding friends or sending private messages. people might abuse that. most forums get points for posting replies to threads. but its up to you.
