Memo Ochoa overrated

Ochoa isn't that good of a goalie, ive been saying this for quite some time. the only reason he's famous is because televisa is always advertising him.

Typical Chivista comment. At least our golie isn't trying to look like Iker Casillas with the beard he has. If Ochoa wasn't a good golie then why is he with el Tri? Are you mad that Atlas beat you?


If he is overrated in what way is he? Is it because he is sponsored by a lot of companies so what, he is a good golie and better than Michel. But again you Chivistas can't go 1 day without talking about America.

Yo chillz with this list...oswaldo sanchez was the best goalie of the season hands down no questions asked!..how is munoz and orozco in front of ochoa and michel...worse how is talavera there????he just had one good game in the ligiulla...and corona hasn't really been that consistant since he went to cruz azul..this would be my list

honestly not yet, michel still needs some more improvement in the FK shots and positioning. corona is letting the fame get to his head.

@El Cabrito.... like it or not Ochoa was the best golie not only did he play in the Gold Cup bur he also played in the WC Qualifiers. Also Ochoa missed 4 games in the Apertura. That's a lot of games played in a year. Les duele que Ochoa sea mejor que Michel.

Ochoa is one of the best Golies in Mexico he's 24 and already the starter for Mexico, you wanna talk about who got scored on more?? Well Michel got scored on by more than 20+ goals in the Apertura. Oswaldo is past his prime sure he had a good season but doesn't he think he's the shit? Talking smack to players and then getting scored on and looks like a pendejo. Again he might be overrated to Chivistas but we can say the same thing about Michel. I see a lot of Chivestias calling Michel the Mexican Casillas.

So what if ochoa played the gold cup and the wcq...you know in the gold cup he bearly touched the ball the teams mexico played agaist never attacked they had all their team in the back ochoa wasn't really challanged or anything..but I do give him that he blocked that penalty he blocked agaist costa rica that's was the really only time where he shined...

Now in the world cup qualifiers it was the same thing...it was in the half of it already when memo came as titluar and were mostly home games..and you know in all the mexican home games everyone parks the bus...but what he had 1 or 2 blocks per game...not really much..so I don think he tri really would have a problem to qualified without him..

Think about how many times have you seen ochoa save a game for mexico that el tri could have lost if it wasn't for him besides the costa rica penalty????..

i hate comparing mexicans to europeans, it makes us look lesser.
i already told you the reason ochoa is titular. mercadotecnia. Oswaldo had a better season and he wasn't called up once. corona honestly blew it yet he is still being called up, why?
michel was gonna be called up by eriksson but he got injured right before.
oswaldo had a good season he stopped 3+ pk's that were harder to block than some tico's shot.
saucedo should have gotten called up in 08, now he doesn't have the same level.
villalpando has been regularly playing good.
i think orozco is just going through a phase, he's still young and we will have to see what happens.
nobody talked about bernal when he was champion, he was never even considered.

@El Cabrito...... You base a golie based on a season right? Eriksson knew nothing about Mexico Futbol and dint Oswaldo cost games for Mexico? Oswaldo is a greedy golie he was the one who said if he wasn't a starter for Mexico he wouldn't play. And the reason he is not called up is because he doesn't fit in Aguirres plans. Same can be said about Pardo. Oswaldo needs to hang his boots for El-Tri and just focus on Santos.


As much as you want to say Ochoa is overrated he has talent. And Ochoa has patiently waited for his chance in El-Tri since 04.

What I see is you base a player because of 1 season? So you want to also call Aldo De Nigris? He had 1 good season and now people want him with El-Tri but many people know b4 last season he sucked and Monterrey fans booed him and wanted him out.

Orozco had a great liguilla. Saucedo is a good solid goalie and so is munoz. Even villalpando is great. En puebla, hay hombres no nombres. Nd thats fact. If these three goalies had even half the publicity Memin has, They would be considered prodigies. Prove me wrong wila.
